Marketing Case Analysis- Write Up (Purposely for the Blog)
Samsung is undeniably one of the most successful international companies in the world. Despite the tremendous strides that have been made by the company over the past decades, the company is still on the seeming increasing trend, one that is associated with introduction of various products into the global market. Currently, the company intends of launching another critical product, the QLED 2018 television. There is no doubt that just like most of the company’s products, the QLED 2018 television is also of high quality, one that incorporates the needs and ideals of various consumers from across the world. However, it is equally important to note that the company is not free of the challenges that are often faced by various firms in their attempt to introduce new products in the market. As a result, this post explores the entire situation that surrounds the launching of this new product by the company and the strategies that may seem to be imperative in mitigating the challenges that the product is likely to face in the market.
I feel that the idea by the company to launch this new product is an effective one since there is clearly a market gap, one that needs to be filled with a high quality product. In an attempt to ensure that the new product succeed in the market, the company has employed a considerable number of strategies, which according to my understanding that is anchored on marketing analysis, I firmly believe to be not only appropriate but also effective based on the current prevailing marketing conditions. Nonetheless, if I were a marketing manager in the company, I would ensure that both the product promotion and the general pricing of the product are done in the most inherent manner, one that incorporates the needs of the consumers. In doing so, I believe the product will have a competitive advantage and thus increased chances of succeeding.

The Brand I select is Starbucks. This a famous American coffee company and coffeehouse chain. According to the official statistics in its website, as of 2016, Starbucks is present on 6 continents and in 75 countries and territories, with a total of 23,768 locations. To say Starbucks purchases and roasts high-quality whole bean coffees is very true, because coffeehouses have become a beacon for coffee lovers everywhere.  The Starbucks value proposition mostly focus on three key points: the coffee quality, service philosophy and store atmosphere designing. Firstly, it’s about the quality of the coffee. Starbucks carefully selected their coffee beans from the best sources of coffee all around the world. By this way, Starbucks was known for their “highest-quality coffee in the world” to offer to their customers. Secondly, it’s the store atmosphere designing. Starbucks was very successfully to offer their customers a “third place” outside their work place and their home, making a Starbucks’ store a sanctuary place to escape from the real world.  There is a survey about Starbucks shows that the three things most people would talk about are the environment, quality and price. First, the environment. It’s not unusual to see people coming to Starbucks to chat, meet up or even work. Starbucks is more like a neighborhood gathering place, a part of the daily routine. Second, the quality. People think the Starbucks coffee is high quality and good taste. Third, the price. Many people also complain Starbucks set the price too high, comparing to other brands.  The menu of Starbucks include drink, food and nutritions. For example, Teavana Hot
